Start 2010 off with a fabulous vacation! Join us on January 9, as we leave for beautiful Taos Ski Valley.
Located about 2.5 hours north of Albuquerque, NM. Our location at the beautiful Snakedance Condominiums is mere feet from the lift-a true ski-in/ski-out! It is also the location of one of the best restaurants in the Ski Valley, The Hondo Restaurant, located in our building. The condos have beautiful fireplaces and granite countertops in the full kitchen.
Taos offers great skiing and a unique package called Ski Week. For $99, we will get lessons for the entire week! This ski school ranks in the top 10 worldwide. You will learn from the best! Instructors typically take their groups out about 10am and return around 12 noon. Last time we went the groups were 4 to 5 students grouped at all levels from beginner on up. We kept the same instructor all week. This really helped me because she knew my trouble spots and we worked hard on them. In the afternoon, we got the chance to practice or continue lessons with the same instructor.
We are currently planning a day trip into the town of Taos (about 20 miles from the resort) and a day trip to Santa Fe. If you have never been to Santa Fe, it’s almost worth the trip out west. Santa Fe is known for its art community and beautiful old buildings. Think Georgia O’Keefe and Ansel Adams, beautiful pottery, and wooden bowls with inlaid gemstones. And great food! We hope to find the small 24 seat restaurant said to have the best hamburger in the world, cooked on a grill over 100 years old, somewhere just outside of Santa Fe! This will be a trip you will never forget. Great Skiing! Great Food! Great times with your friends in the beautiful western Taos Ski Valley! So put on your cowboy hats, and join us in Taos!
